The Intralace and Intralace Minima - a better alternative to human hair toppers for women

For women who have some degree of hair loss but who don't want or need a full wig, toppers have become a popular option. However there are a number of problems associated with them that many find discouraging.

  • They have to be applied, adjusted, and removed daily - and the process is fiddly and time consuming
  • The clips attach directly to your own hair, which can cause further stress to it
  • They have to be removed for exercise or sport
  • Keeping them in good condition requires constant cleaning and untangling
  • They constantly remind you that you have hair loss

We've been researching hair loss and helping women combat it for four decades and we've developed systems that we, and our clients, believe are a better option - the Intralace Minima™ and the smaller versions of the full Intralace System™.

Both these systems are integrated with your own hair via an ultra-light mesh, which spreads the load of the new additional hair and avoids stressing your existing hair. You wear it 24/7 so no more fiddling with clips, no more taking it off and putting it back on. You wash it in the shower and brush it on your head.

Just as important from an emotional and psychological point of view - you forget it's there because you're no longer being continually reminded that you have hair loss. That makes a substantial difference to your confidence and you no longer feel you're hiding something.

Suitable for disguising smaller areas of hair loss

While the larger versions of our Intralace System are more suitable where there is widespread loss or overall diffuse thinning, the smaller versions and the Intralace Minima are intended for use where there are smaller, more speciic areas of loss, such as the crown or parting, or situations such as radiotherapy treatment which may have caused loss in a small patch - just the sort of situations where a topper might have been the only choice.

An example of the type of transformation we can provide for our lovely Manchester clients

Resume a fully active lifestyle

Many women become less active if they devleop hair loss because toppers aren't very suitable for playing sports while wearing them, but because an Intralace Minima is worn all the time and won't become dislodged or need removed in the changing room, you can resume full participation in exercise and sports with confidence, whatever type you prefer.

Custom designed just for you

We've been creating hair replacement systems in Manchester since it opened in 2009, while we added the Intralace Minima to our range in 2012, so the staff there have a lot of experience with it. You don't need to worry about finding a topper to suit your hair as we design each one to suit your individual requirements. Colour matching blends the new hair with your own colour so that it's natural looking and undetectable. We use 100% human hair of the highest quality, and can customise hair texture including Brazilian virgin, naturally curly hair too. And naturally your Intralace or Minima will be styled to your preference by our dedicated professional hair loss stylists.

Doesn't affect your own hair

We are often asked if our systems prevent or slow down hair growth. The answer is no - the Intralace and Minima don't inhibit your normal hair growth, so if your hair loss is temporary and you're using the system while your hair recovers from illness or accident then it will continue to grow normally underneath until recovery is complete and the system can be removed. Regrowth does mean that there will need to be some readjustment every few months at our studios but that is the only maintenance other than keeping your new hair well conditioned.
