The Intralace and Intralace Minima - an improved alternative to traditional hair toppers

For women experiencing hair loss – especially thinning hair or bald patches – human hair toppers have historically been a good solution. But they come with drawbacks too.

  • You need to apply and adjust them daily
  • They must be removed for sports, swimming and sleeping
  • Because of the above, they don’t necessarily help ease the psychological effects of hair loss

We’ve been supporting women through hair loss for more than 40 years. In 2012 we came up with an alternative to the traditional hair topper – the Intralace Minima™.

Disguising smaller areas of hair loss

You may already know that we developed the Intralace™ System to help women disguise hair loss. It’s considered a better alternative to wigs because it can be worn constantly and washed as though it were your own hair.

Similarly, Intralace Minima™ is an improvement on the hair topper, which is normally recommended in place of a wig when smaller amounts of hair loss are experienced around the top of the head.

Small areas of hair loss can still have a big impact

The amount of hair loss doesn’t matter. Whether it’s small, localised bald patches or thinning around your parting, the emotional ramifications can be huge. We’ve seen firsthand the impact hair loss can have on confidence.

For women who have small amounts of hair loss around their fringe, parting or crown, it can be frustrating because their hair might continue to grow, just not where they want it to.

Practical and emotional advantages

We know from our clients that one of the toughest things about wigs and toppers is the constant reminder that comes with them: when you remove them to go to sleep, or when you’re placed in situations in which you must expose your natural hair. These moments are tough emotionally, and as toppers must be re-applied daily, it can quickly become taxing.

The Minima is integrated with your natural hair through a very fine, lightweight mesh. It’ll completely disguise your hair loss. You don’t have to take it off at night, you can wash it like you would your natural hair, and you won’t have to spend ages at the mirror each morning, carefully adjusting and styling your topper. It also won’t damage your natural hair, which will continue to grow beneath the Intralace.

Tailor-made for your hair

We don’t believe that one size fits all for hair loss. That’s why each Intralace System we apply – Minima or otherwise – is custom made. It’ll fit your scalp precisely and be an exact colour and texture match for your natural hair to ensure that it blends in effortlessly.

Women can feel disconnected from their femininity when they lose their hair and that’s a feeling we aim to counter in our Bristol salon. You’ll meet our kind, empathetic staff regularly; we recommend eight appointments per year to care for your Minima. You’ll also receive the full luxurious salon experience that, for many women, can begin to feel like a distant memory.
