It goes without saying that hair safety is of critical importance at all of Lucinda Ellery’s studios, and if we recommend using our Medi Connections™ or one of our Intralace options, then it is vital that you have a full consultation with us to explain how they work and are maintained.

Bonding Adhesive for Hair Extensions

Most hair extension companies use an industrial-style adhesive for bonding purposes. While this is often a good option for people with strong and healthy hair, it can result in damage when removing the extensions for those with fragile hair.

We therefore use an alternative kind of adhesive that we believe to be kinder to the hair and safer for you. Our team apply and remove all extensions, and as long as our advice is followed for the aftercare, you should have no problems.

Intralace System™

With our Intralace System™, we offer a test patch, in the same way as we do with the Medi Connections™. This provides you and us with important information about the stability of your hair. If you would like to have a test patch, please request this to take place 1-3 weeks prior to your Intralace System application. Its rare but possible for a client to develop a scalp infection or bacterial infection, we have assessed this to be 0.3 - 0.6% of clients. It's important clients thoroughly wash their hair / Intralace hair one to two times per week to ensure their hair and scalp is cleansed.

Some clients with fine, fragile hair around the front hairline may benefit more from the Intralace System™ Natural Hair Line Option. In such cases, we do not need the client’s own hair for integration around the fringe area, but simply shave a small area (roughly the size of a plaster is possible) where the Intralace Natural Hair Line can be placed.
