Your mother or grandmother might have thinning hair but you have always put it down to their age and their genetics, however you have never thought it would happen to you until you started to notice that your hair was no longer as thick as it used to be and you are no longer able to style it the way that you like it.
Many women find female hair loss a difficult thing to come to terms with because it isn’t something that is openly talked about amongst women and it is very common to see men who are going bald.
All women can experience hair loss at some point during their lifetime but some are more at risk for certain types of hair loss than others if it has been experienced in the family in the past. This doesn’t automatically mean that you are going to suffer with it but it does mean that you need to get your hair checked out if you notice anything remotely different about it or you notice that you are experiencing thinning of the hair or noticeable bald patches. Your doctor will be best placed to give you some advice and they can advise on the necessary steps to take in order to get your hair back.
