Talking about your hair loss

If you know of women in your family who are suffering from hair loss this doesn’t necessarily mean that you are going to be suffering from it as well. Although hair loss, particularly for females is not a common site, most hair loss conditions are not hereditary and can be easily treated once you have been officially diagnosed by a doctor.

It may surprise you to hear how common hair loss for women is and that many women suffer from it and come through the other side with plenty of their hair still on their head! Provided that you get the right treatment for your hair loss, you should find that your hair will return. There are only certain types of hair loss where it isn’t guaranteed that it will come back even after receiving treatment but your doctor will be able to advise you on that.

If you are experiencing hair loss and you know somebody else who has been going through it, then it might be worth talking about your experiences and finding out what types of hair loss they have been suffering from and what treatment they have been receiving. This will help to put your mind at ease and less worried about the hair loss that you are suffering with.
